JEDI: Justice, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion

AIA Eastern Oklahoma established the Justice, Equity, Diversi and Inclusion Committee (JEDI) in 2022 to address the fac that architecture, like many professions, has historically been lacking in diversity and has not always been inclusive of underrepresented groups. We believe that this needs to change. As architects, we have a responsibility to create spaces that are accessible and welcoming to all, and that can only be achieved through a more diverse and inclusive profession.

Vision Statement:  We aspire to be a community that values and respects the unique perspectives and experiences of all members, and where diversity is celebrated as a source of strength and innovation.

Mission Statement:   To actively promote diversification, amplify underrepresented voices, and create a supportive and inclusive environment where all members can thrive.
